Make things and show them. Say yes to social invitations and speaking opportunities. Market what you built in years 1 and 2 — this is the year visibility comes cheaply. Take the creative course. Enjoy yourself deliberately; pleasure is part of the year's function, not a distraction from it.

What to avoid

Scatter. The classic 3-year failure is starting six things and finishing none, and emerging with a good time and nothing to show. Watch overspending and overcommitting socially. Avoid using the year's lightness to dodge a difficult conversation you have been circling since the 2 year.
